Over the past 5 years I have been designing and building lap and console non-pedal guitars. There are three basic models: (1) lapsteels (2) single neck consoles (3) double neck consoles. The lapsteels designs were inspired by Gibson and Rickenbacker, the single necks were inspired by the Fender Deluxe model, and the double necks were inspired by the old National double necks. Each one is customizable to some extent (wood, scale length, fretboard, ect) and all of them have solid brass nuts and bridges. Here are some examples and for more information and pricing you can go to my website: https://www.caladesiguitars.com

Beautiful steels Dan. I'm curious about the scale lengths on the consoles, and also I think you make your own fretboards, do you also make the bridge and nut set you mount to your guitars?

Here are some details:
All guitars can be made to 22.5, 23.5 and 24.5 inch scales (very little difference in price). I am also open to making a 26 inch scale if desired. Also 6 or 8 strings are available on all guitars. I do make my own fretboards (real wood and inlay- or sticker). I also make my own nuts and bridges-- usually made of solid brass, nickle plated, and bolted through the guitar. Choice of wood and natural or painted colors are also available. I also make a built-in stand for people who like to stand up to play, but find the "wobble" of the guitar annoying and more difficult to play. Dan

Tommy
Thanks for your email and interest. The base price from the single neck console is $1,350 and comes in a variety of scale lengths. It is essentially a modern version of the old Fender Deluxe. For more details go to:

If you have trouble let me know. You can also call my cell phone 727-385-4170

Thanks Dan
