Saw this today, may have already been discussed?
Care to comment?,
I can't imagine how having a cable attached to my slide would be anything but a pain..tough on slants...

Well, I guess there could be some interesting special effects with that, but I think I'll pass. I like the 120 volt outlet steel - complete with blade switches. Whoa!

I'd love to hear a clip of what this sounds like though.

Why? It's an invention without a necessity!

Well he’s sold 5 of the 8 he has available, and it’s not that expensive. It looks weird and maybe useless... which in my books is a good enough reason to buy something Razz

I agree it sounds like a terrible idea for amplifying your instrument for a traditional sound but, as someone who is also interested in more experimental music, it could sound really weird and unlike anything else, which is why I'd like to hear it in action.

I used to be the administrator of a rather large forum. Some forums require a lot of moderation, which makes people angry. When I began getting threats of violence against myself and my family I switched my location listing to a variation of that, "Between Clever and Stupid." Very Happy

"The slide only picks up the sound when it is in contact with the strings"

So it has a contact PU in the slide. I cannot say I ever thought that I needed to have that as part of my rig.

I assume someone more creative than I am could think of something to use it for, even just as a special effect.

I like how he has plug-in-jacks for common 120 volt accessories such as blenders, mixers, and toasters. Laughing

Copper used for a slide? Too soft. Also, get Bluetooth, instead of a 1/4" phone jack and cord...
