Got news from Sez Adamson just now that Nic passed away yesterday. He was a good friend of mine and many of you also.

Very sad to hear. I used to lay in bed at night & listen to Nic's playing, and we were Facebook friends.

I remember reading Charles' announcement last year that Nic was bedfast. I was sorry to hear of his respiratory ailment and sorry to read of his subsequent passing.
Nic was a unique character and a professional in the music world. In the week I spent with him in class at Jeffran, I learned how intelligent and educated, both academically and musically, he was.
I am sad to have lost another steel friend.

Sorry to hear about Nic, a fine gentleman, we never met but we had a few wonderful conversations over steel guitars via PM and enlongated threads...Rest easy brother!

| Rest in peace Nic. Very sad to read this. I've been dreading this news since I heard through here that he was bedridden. Nic was incredibly helpful and generous a few years back when I was starting out. We then lost contact and I knew his health was going downhill. My sincere condolences to his family. |
