anyone got any info on harmonized scales for the c6 neck

Timely, Russ - I was just wondering the same.

To play harmonised scales you need a change that gives you alternating major and minor thirds or sixths.

P6 is obvious for strings 3 & 6 or 5 & 6.

If you have the change that lowers 4 to G#, that's good for strings 2 & 4, with 2 raised on P6.

Also 4 & 7 with P8, and if can raise 3 a half step you can use it with 4 or 6.

More experienced players will doubtless come up with others - I don't know of any published material.

Here’s 3 ways to harmonize the 7th scale (with Maj7, min7, dom7, and diminished)
The up and down arrows show what string need to be raised or lowered a HALF step. The last example requires the KL that lowers string 4 one half step A-Ab

Good stuff, Rick. When Russ started the discussion I instantly thought of two-part harmony like you might play on E9, but this 3-part sound is what C6 is all about! Smile
