Ron, between our cnc abilities and the magic Larry Robinson is capable of, the inlay possibilities are near endless.

A little update on my Makin' Chips videos. We found out a short time ago that the assembly video we posted quite a while back had been taken down due to a copyrighted tune I shouldn't have used in the soundtrack.

https://youtu.be/wMC_h8i-9iw

Its back up though and it's a pretty cool vid if I do say so myself. Big thanks to our glorious leader Bobby for the tunes and permission to use 'em.

On the soundtrack subject. I'm always on the lookout for pedal steel instrumental stuff I can use on my vids. If you've got some cool tunes recorded and don't mind me using them in my vids, please send 'em on!

My Sierra is now complete after I recently sent back my pedal bar to Ross so he could update it with the Sierra Logo. Not merely a sticker or decal like most, Ross inlay-ed the logo right into the aluminum. I can't say enough about this guitar. The tone, looks and feel, all a true work of ART!!!

Gary, the pickup is the Telonics X10, which I love, with a custom cover made by the man himself, Ross Shafer!

Thanks all for the kind words!

Glad you like the pimped out pedal bar Slim.

Rob, thanks for putting some miles on that test rig, so glad you liked it!

This experimental 12s setup is an idea that Memphislim came up with...my contribution was the mechanical fiddling to make it work.

Neck Question Question :
No more relief under the neck or is it hidden?
How has that effected the tone?
Very nice looking PSG. Very Happy

The relief under the neck is there, just hard to see from my picture.
Tone is wonderful and it plays like a dream.
I have one of the old Sierra double necks. Seems I have to do what I call 'warming up the pedals' each time I sit down at it.
The action on Ross's guitar is smooth as can be.
Can you tell I'm hooked?!!

Thanks Rob,
Guess it was just the shadow.
Yes I sat at one of his PSG's when I visited him a couple of years ago.
I was also very impressed with the light action as well as his wonderful design ideas and workmanship.
Had I not recently bought a new custom Mullen G2 SD-10 that money would have gone towards one of the Sierras. The Mullen also has a very light touch, but Ross may have improved on it too. It's hard to judge when they are not side by side.

The thing holding me back now is nothing to do with the Sierra, but I have developed bad tremors in my right hand making the close spacing on all PSG's hard for me to play now. Very poor control of my thumb and middle finger.
My doctor at the VA is trying some Parkinsons meds to see if that will help me. Time should tell? If not for that, I'd already have a Sierra sitting next to my Mullen. Very Happy
I'd sure recommend a Sierra to anyone.

Yes Len! I would agree with you. Ross has really captured something unique in the new Sierras... No question. I will stop here because I think Ross is getting tired of me "preaching to the choir," as it were! Smile
