I liked hearing Jeff himself, explaining his picks in "Right Hand Alpha". Couldnt get Nationals at the time,,so he made his. They were copied after the Nationals.Only difference was diamonds vs holes. Even said he didnt care what you used,as long as it wasnt Dunlop,,,lol _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

I used Newmans for a while but they don't really do anything that Nationals don't. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Richard,
Yes, I agree.
The more you charge for picks, the better they sound!

I didn't ask anyone's opinion on finger picks. I posted I was looking for some. |

I think Lavon is right.
He is looking to buy picks (the best ever made in my opinion).
He was not looking for opinions.
Give him a break yall. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. It's just that Jeff said that with the position of the hand and fingers the way he teached, the bands of the Dunlops would catch the strings _________________ ----------------------------------

I really can't see much difference between the bands on the Dunlops or his picks.
I think he was just trying to sell his picks.

This is no different from any other piece of gear. It's a personal choice.
What does it take? Even after Lavon's obvious and justifiable irritation with uninvited, irrelevant and belittling comments about his choice of gear, and Bill's scolding....still it continues.
This is a classified ad. It's not a topic that's open for discussion.
Please show respect for that and the author of the post.
You guys! |

Thank you Jerry.
But for the record, before I got my original (which I still use) BJ (Chrome) picks, I used Dunlop. I DID have trouble with the band catching the strings.
And I personally never liked the National Picks.
I guess I liked the BJ pick because it came naturally bent in the package. Just had to fit the diameter of my fingers. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. It seems that the Peanut Gallery rarely let's anything pass that offers an opportunity for unsolicited comments that have nothing to do with the original post or help the OP with his problem. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

and that was all. I have three but they're barely worth shipping all the way back to the US. Or are they that rare now? _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I guess I should post why I’m looking for some. I’ve been using JF’s since 1990 , I like them, Dunlop’s are comfortable but with my technique the band catches the adjacent strings, I have national’s also but not as comfortable as my JF’s. |

Lavon, I had the same issue with those bands catching so I use JF picks as well. I am pretty sure I have 2 extras in my stash somewhere around here. If you just need 2, I could probably help you out. Let me know if you are still looking and I will look for them tomorrow after lunch and get back to you. |
