Staying busy. Built a few stringmaster kits..something to do. Vintage Fender nitro colors. These babbys are easier to play while watching TV than a PSG,...haha.. and no pedal noise! I make my own larger bridges and raise the nuts for increased string clearance, better string break at the nut and bridge, for improved tone and play-ability. Stay home if ya can, stay busy, wear a mask, wash yer mitts. Stay healthy amigos.

They are nice John. Have you made any double necks with leg sockets?

Best thing about Jimmie's kits, "No consoles were harmed in the making of this steel guitar"... Very Happy

Nice John! I ordered one of Jimmies stringmaster kits a couple of days ago. Can't wait to put it together. What pickups did you get for yours John and how do you like them?

I chose Rick Sentell pickups. Quality custom made with fast service. I got em before the guitar lacquer was cured. I made sure to create a good Faraday cage by using copper foil in the routed cavities.. sound good and no noise.

Very nice job on the Stringmaster. I like the orange color body. Very cool.
I need to order one now. Oops they’re on backorder! Darn...

How do you have them wired? I didn't see a blend pot, do you have it wired MkI Stringmaster style (blend on tone knob but with capacitor) or do you have them hard wired? With my stringmaster I leave both on all the time, since I like the fatter tone that way...

Got my kit from Jimmie Hudson put together with the pickups from Jerry Sentell. It's fun to play and I will have it in my travel trailer as my camping steel, thus the forest service color. Just have to get out camping!
