I'll defer to Bill for the answer, but yeah I think that be he. A heck of a musician and I know he has built some lap steels etc.
I'm blown away by some of his 14 string lap pickin' such as the Bohemian Rhapsody. He has a special gift as a musician. Notice in the videos how broad his scope of musical styles. Seems to be accepting of many types.
Here's the link to Bill's treatment of the rock band Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. It's beyond me how anyone can execute all these changes with faithfulness. I'm stunned.
I have posted this before, but you owe it to yourself to see this even if you don't like rock or Queen. Amazing.

yep i am still hangin around here. i remember when there was no steel forum. it was a users group lumped in with all kinds of groups from sewing machines to auto mechanics to whatever.... remember those?
i made that guitar out of southern yellow pine from home depot. remember that an electric guitar is just a hunk of wood with a stick poking out of it. no need to spend a lot of money on one....
when i was a kid, i thought that you plugged the electric guitar in the wall.....
chet atkins was my guitar hero....even when i found out there were other people who played the guitar....he was still my hero. when i was 14 i sent him a letter....i addressed it chet atkins....nashville tn because i did not know his address. it was delivered to him...think about that. sort of like santa. you just put "north pole". he sent me an autographed picture. i still have it.
life is good...lets go practice. |

made 8 of them so far. sold some, kept a few to play. one has a long neck bottle opener on it. i put it down at the bottom of the guitar so whatever you open doesnt run down the entire body....
