I want to thank Jody Cameron for letting me use his video and lick in this Beginners Note. Jody is a masterful player and teacher, who comes across as mild mannered and soft spoken in this wonderfully done video. His well done course on Pedal Steel is one that should be explored for sure.

Jody Cameronâ€™s whole note scale lick as presented in the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYUoRq11iHY&feature=youtu.be in my mind, uses the two frets up, one string down approach and what I view as natural pockets on the E9th neck. His lick generates thought and immediately brings other similar licks/runs to mind. I really appreciate the kindness he has shown of sharing it with us.
