I have added a half-sized model of my "Tab Rack" to my list of products. It can be viewed at http://www.songwriter.com/bradshaw/tab_rack.php

I had received suggestions for this style of music holder from several players who wanted a smaller holder for their play-list or chord chart at gigs. So, do give it a look. ...Tom

Just ordered one! Tom, I notice you have a gmail address. If you don't see my email, be sure and check your junk/spam folder. Sometimes, gmail doesn't like me.

Hi Tom:
Sure nice to see your post.
I have 3 of your great full size racks.
The half size looks like a real winner.
Is the one clip for it the same as the clips for the full rack? Does the half rack clip stay put somehow at the 45 degrees in the corner? Just wondering how it keeps from swinging from side to side.
I don't suppose it is an issue but I am curious as I probably will order one. Smile Smile Smile

Thanks for the questions, Dick.

1. The plastic leg-holding clip is identical to those of the full Tab Rack. When snapped into position, it securely presses the metal frame (the Rack holder) against the front edge of the end plate exactly as the full Tab Rack does.
2. The 45° angle is achieved by how the Rack itself is positioned on the top edge of the leg holder. When positioned at a 45° angle, it assumes a perfect horizontal position.
3. The Rack would only "swing" if not tighten sufficiently to the top edge of the holding clip. Since the holder is made of brushed aluminum, there is a natural "gripping" tendency between the Rack and the top edge of the holder.

The "Junior" Rack will hold half as much as the full Tab Rack.

I got mine a couple of days ago, and it sure simplifies my setup. Before, I was using a music holder clamped onto a mic stand, which would barely fit into the space I had for it.

Now, there's just a small music stand clamped to the leg of my pedal steel.

(The light I had on the old one seemed too big and clunky, so I got a smaller one.)

It is really an admirably simple device, some of the best minimalist engineering I've ever seen! This is all there is!

Thank you, Tom!

Hey Al. As I told you, with the "Junior" music rack, you must be duplicating all of Buddy's licks within a week! If not, the Junior is defective and must be returned for a refund!!!! ...Tom
