Deluxe 8 tone pot "wah" sound

I was wondering if the pronounced wah effect of the original tone pot on my 56 Deluxe 8 is due to the pot type/value or the unique wiring of the Stringmaster blend circuit.
I think that's a 1 meg pot?

Asking bc I want to put the same type of pot/effect on another guitar.

I think the effect is due to the linear taper of the pot. That coupled with the way our hearing works.
