...only a few years ago there was a lot of this stuff around. What's happened? I think I know: Less interest in non-pedal steel guitar and it makes me sad.

I don’t think there is less interest. Nobody makes repros of those Fender parts and the guy who stripped the carcasses of good instruments seems to have stopped doing that. Those parts always have been hard to find. I know because I have one.

I have fretboards for shorter scale Stringmasters. I think I also have a pair of the older style Fender boards. I had some made about 7 or 8 years ago for a restoration I did, so I ordered extras while I did it. They're exactly like the original boards except they have an adhesive back instead of holes for pinning in.
