I bought the first set. The one's engraved with "S" and "M" should be arriving in the mail soon. I had them engraved like this as I usually prefer to use the same pick on my index and middle finger over and over. This will allow me to not mix them up easily. I'll let you know how they feel and play. I suspect they will be quite nice.

I got my set about an hour ago and felt compelled to give a review. It's refreshing when product is good enough to make you stop playing, turn on the computer and give it some praise. I currently use the classic NP2 National finger picks; honestly, when putting those on, it was not a pleasure as I pinch mine in order to grip behind my nail bed and by the time I'm done with a session, there are indentations in my skin. Aside from the stunning beauty of Ron Landis' picks, the first thing I noticed was how comfortable they are. They slipped smoothly and the finger grips inside are fantastic, no need to pinch the metal together to grip my finger, zero pain. In fact they don't feel as though you are wearing picks. Along with that the concave shape on the under side of the pick tip conforms to your finger really well. The outside of the pick feels like it's shaped or tapered so that you get a nice strike on the string and at the edges it feathers off to your skin. I noticed already I'm less prone to hanging up than my old National style. The tone is different than the Nationals as well. Not sure how to describe it, I think more mids is the most scientific definition, more organic (although I'm not sure I like using that lofty term, they just do sound more of this earth than the Nationals, probably the Silver thickness). So to end this lengthy review, I think I'll use these picks for the next 40 years of playing.

Yes, the "Finger Picks" section of the website is new and still a work in progress. We fixed a few glitches and added a way to order single picks for those who use a set of three.
I'll also add another subpage to explain in more detail how they're made and other info.
And while I'm here, I'l post this set of silver picks we shipped a few days ago. A special order from a Beekeeper.

I just wanted to let people know that we were not in the shop last week. My production manager suffered severe burns a week ago, so production was shut down until we both return tomorrow. As of May 9, we were caught up with all orders and shipments. Also, I'm having difficulty receiving messages through the forum. You can also contact me through the landisstudios.net website, or call the shopp during regular shop hours 8-5 central time. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
On another note, I've received so much interest in thumb picks that I'm now working on developing a line of thumb picks. I hope to unveil them at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas in mid September. |

I'm interested in thumbpicks with rounded blades that can down and up pick (I thought there was a picture in the New Products thread but i don't see it anymore)
