E9 split tuning has a lot of uses for passing diminished chords. Here's two practical examples that also show a nice C6 scale riff at the end made possible by lowering the 2nd and 9th strings at the same time. I toggled the knee lever at the end for a bit of a Hank Thompson sound. A nice use of the B to Bb knee lever for a b5 sound is shown as well. These riffs are easy to fit into a variety of songs.

Greg, nice stuff.

On Example 2, I assume that 3F note under the G13b9 chord should be on the 4th string, yes?

Great ideas! Thanks Greg.
Any more examples of using string 9 as the 'root'?
