Topic: Help, what affordable raw neo speaker would you get? |

I just got a used Quilter Pro Block 200. I'm goin' light. I've been playing a lot this season and my back feels it. I want to go Neo-speaker but I don't want to pay $225. Has anyone gone down this road. I play no C6th. I'm considering the following Eminence spkrs. A Legend EM12N a Wheelhouse 150
or a Tonkerlite. All are 8 ohms so I know I'll lose a little output from the 200. Jenson makes a Tornado that comes in 100 watt and 4 ohm that looks intetesting. It appears Sica speakers are hard to find these days. Thx for your help. Ron

| Ron, I got 2 Eminence special design speakers from TC Furlong that are Neo magnet and high watt 12s. Love them. One in a Peavey special 130 and the other in a 1x12 cabinet. Unfortunately those were a close out and no longer available. I tried the TT 12 Eminence in the Peavey special 130 and was unimpressed. My Quilter micropro mach2 combo is equipped with a Celestion and while fine for guitar, it lacks the steel tone I expected. I used the 1x12 Furlong equipped cabinet and was happy. I wish you luck. The Eminence EM12 is one I wanted to try. |

What would be the disadvantage of buying a Sica spkr that is listed as a bass speaker. I've noticed the graph of guitar and bass spkrs is about the same. I seem to have plenty of highs at my disposal; in fact I usually have them just about,turned all the way down.

| I've got two Sica 15" speakers that came in cabinets I bought from Tommy Huff. About 8 lbs. each and work great for PSG. I kept watching Paul Franklin's video about the PF-350 speaker and decided to replace the Sica's with PF-400's. PF-400's are heavier but has exactly what I like. I've also replaced the NV-112 blue marvel 12" speaker with the Travis Toy 12" speaker. Very nice. |

I have a Sica 15" bass speaker in my Evans SE-200 and couldn't be more happy with it
The Sica bass speakers are getting hard to find...they are Italian and may have been discontinued. |

| I bought a Quilter 202 and cabinet here on the forum a while ago. The TT-12 was already sold separately so no speaker included. I have 2 T C Furlong powered amps with the original Italian speakers. Dropped on in and it sounds really great. Really even response. tons of tone too. |

My Sica bass speaker is: 15" Neodymium PL15B255,
250W, aluminum
I bought it from Antique Electronic Supply in 2016, located in Tempe, AZ
Phone number at that time is/was 480-820-5411
At the time they were a large Sica dealer. |
