Tommy, I once had a mid 70’s Emmons with a satin walnut finish that had a replacement black plastic Emmons nameplate. I bought a new black plate and took it to a custom automobile restoration shop and they painted (sprayed) it the correct shade of brown with white trim. You couldn’t tell it from an original brown Emmons plate except it was plastic rather than metal like most all brown ones during that time period.
