Tom I haven't heard the song in a long time but I believe it was an Ebow.

They are. Any online music store or some larger brick and mortar stores will most likely have them.

At one time they had a model that would affect two strings.
You don't suppose that's the model Buddy had?

TC Electronics make an equivalent model (AEON Handheld Infinite Sustainer) to the eBow which is slightly cheaper, but does the same function. There is a pic below. Joyo is another company that makes a similar device. All can be purchased from Amazon.



Because Buddy E seemed to be getting a single string melody with his eBow, I wouldn't have thought that it was the dual string model.

I'd love to hear an example of a steel playing through the 2-string model. Anyone have a clip they can post or direct me to a recording?
