Released today, Jan 10. I caught it by accident on Napster while searching for material.

24 cover songs, Traditional Country tunes as well as a few well known rock tunes.

Very modern arrangements with blistering Brent Mason ( apparently ) and I assume Paul ! Very unexpected playing on tracks we are all very familiar with. Very well done, excellent productions.

Being a B Bender guy as of late I have already changed , or rather added a few things that Brent has presented with a different approach.

Nothing predictable about these tracks or the playing. Similar with hints of the originals, but NOT.

So heres a new release with NO LACK of Steel guitar !

Go get it ! Very Happy

My wife "discovered" these songs on You Tube.
Incredible covers.

Anybody know for sure who is playing pedal steel guitar?

Napster? I thought that shut down years ago! Maybe I've been missing something.

Although I'm partial to B&D, it's a clever title.

Yup it's thick on the steel tracks. And lots of recall songs from the great past of essential music.

Always wondered what this song would sound like with some draggin' bar apart from Wilbury Light Orchestra...

Napster re-emerged from the 1999 RIAA lawsuit as an online music store, then as Rhapsody in 2011, then changed the name back after gaining respectability as a legitimate subscription audio streaming service in 2016. I have been very happy with both Rhapsody and Napster, but now a virtual reality video service is about to swallow it.Hey Ronnie Dunn....howbout a remake of “Video Killed The Radio Star”?

Great song selections and musicianship via the few YouTube songs I briefly listened to

Is there any harmony singing on the CD?

or just Ronnie Dunn's lead vocal thru out?

(A little harmony never hurts)

Thanks
Ron

I have kept this account open for probably 2 decades, yes $11 / mth. To me it is an unequaled value for a streaming live music service. Before Napster it was Rhapsody. which was a Best Buy service They merged in 2016. I have used it more times value-wise than the $11 mth fee . I am way ahead !

not sure what you are asking with regard to harmony, , this is a great CD with a selection of 24 cover songs done in very "UPTOWN" arrangements.

Are we thinking any modern era CD by an artist such as RD would not have any vocal harmony ?

Quite honestly , most if not ALL Nville produced tracks these days have a select group of session singers performing harmony lines, even on the B+D CD's . Sure Ronnie and Kicks did their parts no doubt but they didn't do ALL the parts.

This is NOT a B+D CD, its not supposed to be, its a RD CD.

here is one track, a fresh version of an iconic song. It wakes up the Steel and Tele pickers too .
