Looking for a nice set of the aluminum knobs with the black inserts for a Peavey LTD 400. Also, does anyone have a set of just the black inserts? Thanks, Dale

Hello Dale, it’s been several years ago but I think that Ken Fox told me where to find a very similar set for my LTD 400, maybe it was Mouser, not sure. I found the black inserts at a local craft store at Governors Crossing in Sevierville.

Dale, I made some dies a few years ago to make some inserts for these knobs. I'm not sure what I did with them, they're prolly here somewhere.

I had 3 types of vinyl or tolex material that I could form these out of.

I sold a few sets for about $25 I believe, for a complete set...with or without the index holes.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll try to dig it all up again.

You probably should measure the centers again, but these are about 19/32 or 15 mm with double stick tape or you can just glue them on.

I like Jerry's idea!
Just draw some circles on the back of some tolex, and cut them out.

These knobs are more like the original knobs on the first runs of Session 400 and LTD400 amps

Shocking for sure. Used to be around 2.00. Look at what people are selling for on Ebay and Reverb. Prices are very high

Thanks to all who replied. Since my aluminum knobs are in good shape, I was able to find a set of inserts to go in them. Jerry, they are a tad smaller than yours. Thanks again

Good deal. Glad you found what you're looking for. If you don't mind me asking, do you know what the inserts diameter is?

Mine are 13.5 mm or 17/32. Basically 1/2".
