That is a super high end studio pre amp ! I'm sure it will sound great. When I run direct through high end pre amps(I have a Neve 5012) I send it through a Sarno V8 first to focus the tone and give it some caricature. Perfect and pristine doesn't always work. In any case maybe experiment and see what you come up with.

I was wondering. Do you you already have high end PRE's and EQ's ?

If I was buying new studio level gear to record my pedalsteel I would look at channel strips. There are tons of truly amazing ones out there now. Something like the Neve Shelford Channel would be awesome and maybe more simple to deal with. A channel strip will give you eq, compression, pre amp and often some sort of subtle color/texture feature.
