This tuning sounds like a minor 6th tuning to me. Is there such a beast that is widely known etc? Or is this a different tuning altogether and they’re just playing those intervals? Haven’t heard anything like this.

Maybe a fender 400? (pedals). Sounds like a few 4 string strum chords not just minors but sevenths sixths and others etc.
Billy Hew Len played a lot of stuff like that on a Fender 400 and 1000.

Just a thought
Jim.

That sounds so exotic and other worldly. I like it!

Lowering the middle E to Eb is a standard C6th pedal. This sounds like a pedal steel to me.

E C# A F# E C# C A Tuning using 4 picks. Play A F# E C = A minor 6/ rootless D 9. Moveable with dramatic sounds. As BOB stated the C6 pedal tuning achieves the same results. I have a Fender Quad with A,E,C &F tunings with the same setup. My Beard 8 string resonator is set up the same. SWEET

I found this today for Bobby Koefer:

C Minor 6th Tuning - Low to High

A-Eb-G-A-C-Eb-G

Also did some experimenting and can get a reasonably close rendition of On a Tropic Night with this tuning:

Low to High on my Fender 8-string:

F#-A-C#-D#-F#-A-C#-E

Not sure what this tuning would be but it could be an F#m13 I guess, right?
