Some Ladies that didn't make it to the 'dance' (Ken Burns' Country Music documentary). They should have at least gotten honorable mentions. Like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton these women were head-strong in their personalities as well as in their songs which set a high standard for no-nonsense, tough female themes:
