I have a double Cd called Love And Live where there's quite a bit of steel playing to be heard. The back up band is the Jeff Dayton band from Arizona. Can somebody identify the steeler?

Here's another one. I don't think this is Ken Skaggs; I don't even think this is Glen's band (except, maybe, his pianist/MD).

Did this TV show have a house band?

(What a beautiful song this is!!!)

Kenny Scaggs. Yes, that's what he said when introducing the band at the end of Gentle... I guess he met the boys when he was living im Phoenix. Maybe some Arizonians know?

Jeff Dayton now takes a band out doing a Glen Campbell tribute show. Jeff and Ken were permanent members of Glen's road band for many years including on at least two UK tours.

I'm not sure about the 'Arizona connection'. Jeff is based in Nashville, I believe.

Roger, that is Larry Sasser and the staff band for Ralph Emery.

Ah! Thanks, Roy - I thought it would be a Nashville-based TV staff band.

I had to watch that whole interview with Glen. Thanks Roger! I enjoyed that. Glen was a trouper. He had a sense of humor to the very end. What a talent!

A fabulous singer and an accomplished player.

I'm currently playing a ten-week run of 'Always, Patsy Cline' in Ft Myers which necessitates a 42-mile drive both ways for me (six days a week). I have the amazing Jimmy Webb/Glen Campbell 'Reunited' extended-CD on rotation in the car. It's the perfect antidote to the two hours of Patsy songs I'm playing eight times a week.

I enjoy Glen's hits but more obscure titles like 'The Moon's a Harsh Mistress', 'Still Within the Sound of My Voice', 'I Keep It Hid', 'Highwayman' and my new 'favourite - 'Lightning in a Bottle' - just tear at my heartstrings. Webb is a great writer and Glen's voice seemed to know no bounds.

Jimmy Webb's gorgeous chord-changes do alleviate the memory of 'Come On In & Sit Right Down (and Make Yourself at Home)'! Smile

Yes! I got a bunch of his LP's. Everything he ever recorded was great. Ton of top ten hits too.
