I confess I am always experimenting, but I just installed a EPS 12-C in my NV112. My excuse was to reduce weight. Anyway the amp sounds great. I am pleased, but still experimenting with settings. I did have a problem installing the speaker, in that they put a fairly thick gasket on the mounting surface, and on top of the speaker rim. Double thick. And, the mounting studs were too short and I couldn't get the nuts on. So, I shaved off the top gasket, which really serves no purpose and the problem was solved.
So I saved about 5 lbs. with no loss of tone. Maybe gained some.

Had the same gasket problem and same fix. Locked it in the bsaement for two days with my iPad playing a continous loop of Jerry Byrd and Herb Remington steel to loosen it up and hopefully absorb some talent. Mixed results. It is well broken in but still sounds like me.

John is your change working? Is yours a NV112? And, it occurred to me that some amps mount the speaker through the front, hence the gasket on the backside and the frontside.

Jim:

Mine is a NV112 and works fine. Been a long time so I don't which side I took off but the remaining gasket is betwnn the rim of the speaker and the cabinet.

Will have to move some stuff and look in there.

John, Don't do it for my benefit. I know now how it fits. I once put o 12" BW in a Peavey Bandit 65 and the weight of the BW began to tear up the baffle, so I moved it to the front side and it worked out.

Most of my fiddle playing friends are using the EPS C speaker in their 112’s and they love them. I’m running TT 12’s in my 112’s a d they sound great!
