End of September, first of October, I will have in my possession the Fender T8 Stringmaster that I like playing the best. I sold it a friend of mine and he graciously agreed to sell it back to me. I think it is a special steel...has the sound I really like and with 3 necks I can keep all my fav tunings in front of me for western swing, Hawaiian and just plain fun !

Larry,
I had a very similar experience.
When I got my 1st Sho~Bud, I sold my T-8 Stringmaster.
After quite a while the fellow who bought it passed away and I bought it back from his widow.
However, in his possession, it led a rough life.
It had been in a car wreck and it looked like he played it with a claw hammer!
I took it all apart, refinished it and this is what it looks like now, it is an early Stringmaster with 26" scale:

Erv, thanks for your response...you did a great job with that steel...it looks wonderful. I dont have the skills nor the notion to refurbish mine...this is the same steel I played at the Phoenix steel show several years ago...its the one in my avitar. Ironically my very first steel was a quad...I paid for $150 for it and had no idea what I had..it belonged to my instructor Bill Pruitt who purchased it new...it had the push buttons to change necks..wish I still had it, but this triple will do quite nicely ! Smile

Larry,
To rub a little salt in the wound, this is my quad.
When I got it it was painted blue, not once, but twice!!
