Personally, I think this is one of the best deals I've seen in a while. I've never played an Excel (never played most brands) but the people I know who have love them, it looks very clean, and I know they are very light (which becomes more important to me every year! Just sayin'. Good luck with the sale.

---looks like a 705 in the E9 neck, but, what's the pickup in the C6th...maybe a Truetone? ..and, if you can give a good estimate, what's the weight of the steel?
Thanks. Cheers

It’s a stock single coil in the C6 neck. The original pickup. And yes, E9 has a 705 in it. Guitar weighed 53lbs in the case but that was before I got the split case for the legs/pedal bar.

I've seen that the Excel steels sometimes have a 25.5" scale length. The more common scale lengths are in 24.25" length. What's the scale length of the one that you've got up for sale here, if you please? This steel posting has caught my attention way too many times now and I'm intrigued. Thanks. Cheers. Perhaps we can chat? I'll send an email your way with contacts and so forth.
