Here's my take on the old standard, Moonglow. C6 tuning.

The mighty Gibson strikes again.

Excellent, Doug. As usual. Loved that song since I first heard it in "Picnic" 60 odd years ago.

Hi Doug, You play with great finesse. Sept.22, Too bad you`re on lead guitar when I`m with you and Rachel in Uxbridge.

Thanks Manny, I'm looking forward to Sept. 22nd! Yes, I'm on guitar that day. I'm always reminded of the guy from Vermont who told me... "it's a shame to see you wasting your talent on the guitar" Laughing I guess that's one way of looking at it.

I forgot to mention the unique tone your guitar had. Keep that one for sure!! I retired from Gibson custom shop and worked at a busy guitar repair shop in nashtown. You handle guitars all day and every now and then you get one and say "wow". Sounds like you have one of those!

I know what you mean. This one is special. I've played other Gibson lap steels over the years and they sounded kind of lifeless to me. This one really growls, and I like that!

Sounds to me like you're using the B 11th tuning for that song.. Correct ? You always sound great and come up with nice arrangements.
