Will there be anybody building pedal steels in 20 years? I think about this often. I figured I would see what y’all think about this subject?

| If there is any demand I guess. Also the profit margin to the builder would have to be there. |

Yes, the Jacksons plan to still be building steels in 20 years...and more. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

I think it's safe to say that there will always be somebody building them. I can't think of a single instrument that isn't still being made. Be it a harpsichord, a tipple, a theremin, a harmonium, a vielle, or a hurry-gurdy...someone will always be out there recreating them.
As long as somebody's playing, someone else will be building.  |

Another thought, how much longer will the builder that built my steel still be in the steel business ?
Something to consider ? Of course someone could likely provide what you need in the future, but it would be an added benefit if you knew parts and service were going to continue to be available from the original source.
