Here's a request for Thomas Alexander. "Dead Flowers" is a cover of the 1971 Rolling Stones song and is off Jerry Lee Lewis' 2010 album, "Mean Old Man". (Maybe that explains the "angry" photo on the youtube video!)
Greg Leisz plays steel on this and here's my take on the intro and break at 2:28.
Questions and comments always welcome.
Here it is on youtube:

Hey Jeff, thanks for this, and all the other great tabs you post! I saw that tab request, so went and listened to the song, and suggested it to my band mates, and we've decided to cover it. We are doing it in a different key, but this at least gives me a starting reference point as I figure out what I will end up playing. You da' man!

Mike: Thank you very much...glad you appreciate it! Smile

Douglas: And thank you for the kind words. I'll admit to being more of a Beatles fan back in the day but for whatever reason "Dead Flowers" was always one of my favorite Stones tunes (along with "Wild Horses"). I hadn't heard this version until Thomas mentioned it. Pedal steel was exactly what was missing in it all of these years. I really like Jerry Lee and Mick's take on this. Post a video when you and the band get this nailed down!
