I'm always behind in technology World we live in but recently discovered YouTube. Many thanks to Bill Ferguson for putting the St.Louis shows on YouTube.
I just wanted to call attention to a fantastic player and that is Ron Elliott. I've only seen him live maybe 5 times and he has been one of my most favorite player right beside Buddy. I have been listening over and over again to his sets in St. Louise. What a fantastic player. If you haven't discovered him yet get on YouTube and give him listen.

Yes, I agree. In addition to being one of the finest gentlemen I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, Ron is a fantastic steel player with superb touch & tone. He’s been my favorite since even before his days with Jack Greene. May God Bless Ron & Leslie.

Ron has been a hero and friend of mine for a long time. I’ve always made it a point to be in the audience any time Ron was playing. He ALWAYS shows his love of our Lord and love of our country in every show. Always encouraging other players, new and not so new, to be the best they can be. Ron, wishing you and Leslie the best life has to offer.

Ron has always been very friendly to me. He is a wonderful person and great steel player. Here are a few photos I've got; one at his induction into the SGHOF in St. Louis, along with his family.

Ron and Leslie are two of the greatest people I know, and glad to call them my friends. Wish I could see them again. Haven't seen them since the last St. Louis show. Love you two. Larry and Jean

Love Ron, and Miss Leslie, you will never meet a nicer couple. BTW Ron plays pretty good PSG, right up there with Day, and Emmons.

Several years ago on a visit to N’ville, I paid a visit to Bobbe. While there I saw a guy playing the fool out of one of the steels on the floor. I thought to myself, that guy is fantastic...reckon who he is?
As I was looking at CD’s I saw this guy’s face on one....none other than Mr Elliot himself. What was so amazing, other than his great playing was the fact he was playing an Emmons setup, & he normally plays Day...if I remember correctly. Didn’t seem to bother him at all! I was impressed, to say the least. Thank you for that memory Ron Elliot!

Joe, I hope I am correct on this. I’m fairly certain it was Bobbe S that told me this.😊
