It’s been noted here before that boxcars are more valued collectibility-wise, as they are more rare. But the general consensus is that the traps are a much better overall sonic improvement. Btw, I have a Dual w/traps and they are my favorite overall sounding pickup on any instrument of any kind I’ve any owned, although they get in the way of your hand a bit. |

I had Jerry Sentell rewind one boxcar on a Dual Pro I just bought. I asked him to over wind it a little bit for more bass and it sounds great. _________________ Kevin Maul: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Decophonic, Evans, Excel, Fender, Fluger, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |

Even Leo reckoned it was the best pickup he ever made. |
