Ive put the 9th string D whole lower on all of my guitars somewhere...right now my MSA has it on a staggered LKL..ITS A MUST...Let me say...Its not the easiest copedent to organize as far as splits and half feels go..It took a while but we got them all.. _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Mickey, I'd love to see a video demo from you on how you use the D>C change!
Also, details on achieving pedal 8's 4 changes including the half stop on string 9.

Yes, Mickey! Pretty please can you do a video on this?! I've got no idea how you would use it. Does it need to be with the G#-F# lower? |

John, a while back you commented on that finishing chord I used on Here’s That Rainy Day, you even said what it was, but I don’t remember what the name of the chord was, but that’s how I did, using my LKR which lowered both 9 and 6 a whole and then thowing in a whole lower of 5 on my 5th pedal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdXQjDMmcVw
Again, here, anytime you see my LKR moving I using that whole lower of 9 and 6, and also at times use it in conjunction with the B pedal for a split, my 5th pedal with a whole lower of 5 and also with my E’s lowered... I think by itself it gives you a 9th and although you can get that by dropping back 2 frets with AB pedals using strings 9765, but you can’t get some of the movement with the split, the half Franklin and the E’s lowered.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_r5hi4MhYk
Don’t think I’ll be able to today, and YES, I KNOW I’m NOT MICKEY, but I’ll try to put together a little video showing the movement of that change a little better... IF I get a chance and don’t forget. _________________ Dale Rottacker, Steelinatune™

I reckon that his RKR raises string 7 a whole step, giving him the E natural on the last chord. |

Lovely playing, Dale - that's how I like hearing E9th!
And the MSA D-10 is beautiful. I'm almost tempted to get back in the market for another guitar. _________________ Roger Rettig - Emmons D10s, Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and old Martins.

Thanks Earnest for writing that all out... I haven't read music in a Bazillion years or maybe I'd understand it all a little better... My poor reading and theory skills
Roger, thanks for that, I appreciate it... I have another D10 MSA coming
Here's that little (POOR) video I said I'd make show one of the ways I use the whole lower of 9 and 6... I'm sure there are probably scale licks that could be gotten with this... I like the possiblies of this change and thought I was the only one using it till Mickey posted Steves set-up... I had thought that Randy Beavers used this but after reading what he had posted AGAIN, found out that he was only lowering both of them a half... which is what I'm doing on my Rittenberry... I may have to reconfigure, I'm not sure how to have both.
