My DD-3 Delay just developed a bad AC ground hum. It works fine, otherwise. I have checked the cables, tried it with a battery only, checked the power adapter, taken the back off and checked for any loose wiring. I suspect it may be in the on/off switch. Is there anything else I can check? I have a Behringer CT 100 cable tester and a multi tester. Would it cost more than its worth to send it in for a repair? Where would I send it.

Stick a battery in it and see if the hum quits.
Also check patch cables, and any new pedals that have been added to your board. |

I had a bad hum happen in my Furlong and a member said to have all my electric gear plugged into the same power supply which is mounted on my player seat. I had my Furlung plugged into the wall outlet so I plugged it into the seat with the rest of gear and it stopped the hum immediately. If you are not all plugged into the same electric supply, you might try it. It solved my problem immediately.

If you want that particular pedal fixed send it to Mike at Analog Man.
Email him and ask him first about your issue.

Otherwise you might consider buying another one that works if you don't want to spend the money to get it shipped and fixed.

| I touched my guitar with one hand and touched my amp with the other hand and I got a shock. The end of my rack mount power supply had the grounding prong missing. I didn't know if was like that. I put a new 3 prong plug on and it solved the problem, both with the shocking and the DD-3 hum. |
