I friend of mine has this National New Yorker that belonged to his mom. He thinks she played it in the 30s. No serial number. Anyone think they can help me?

That configuration was built 1936-9.

He was saying family stories said 36. Thanks. He said she kinda wanted him to play it, but he fell in love with drums. He came to see me play lap steel this past weekend, and it made him remember that this was still in his closet.
Thanks.

I will be caretaker for this one. That is after all, what any of us are with these vintage, beautiful, historic instruments.
