That's definitely Lloyd, but I don't see the stripe/slash, possibly because the video isn't clear enough...so I wouldn't swear to it.

It almost seems a shame that guitar isn't still being played. That had to be one of the best they made. I bet Lloyd wishes he was still that young as well. As the song says "time marches on".

There is a video available on Youtube of an episode of the Lawrence Welk Show that featured guest star Charley Pride. He was backed by Lloyd Green playing what appears to be this guitar.

It's a beautiful legendary guitar, but calling that mark on the front a "lightning bolt" is an enormous stretch of the imagination. It looks like a magic marker accident. Sorry to rain on y'all's parade... Rolling Eyes

Barry; it was not US that call it a "Lightening bolt" inflection; it was AJ Nelson and Lloyd Green that came up with the name of that (wood grain inflection) name that explained what it looked like to them to describe.
