I recently acquired a super nice early 50s Dual Pro.

The trap pickups are really strong (Neck 1: 13.46k, Neck 2: 14.39k). Given how they sound, I'm thinking they were re-wired...

Anybody out there Dual Pro experts out there? Appreciate any info you can provide.

I also recently got one, two days ago in fact. Fender did say these were his best (or favorite?) pickups he ever made, and can confirm on one that has definitely not had its pickups rewound that it is bright as all hell. I think that is just what they are known for, I am of course no expert but you can probably take off the pickups and find out as well. Also, take off the tuning and control pans to find out exactly what year and date, mine had scotch tape with the day and where it was going! Hope that helps.
