I have managed to develop a problem recording with my Presonus Studio Live mixer and working in Studio one.

I have background delay and reverb sounds in the mix on the recordings but not in the live mix.
If I mute all the tracks on the recording it is still there and I hear faint music with a lot of reverb and delay, delay, delay, delay.

Making rhythm tracks for recordings mixing Drums, Bass, Acoustic I have found when I use a gate that it is now working backwards.
What I mean is take a kick drum with a little background noise for instance.
I used to be able to use and turn up the noise gate and it would take the background ambient noise out leaving the kick drum.
Now it seems to take out the kick drum and leaves the background ambient sound?

I have tried resetting the mixer to factory zero and still have it.
I can't figure out how this developed or what to try.
Having recorded this way quite a number of times and never had this happen before.
Any help is appreciated. ^_^

Ken

IT sounds to me that your effects are set up pre fader as opposed to post fader. What that means is that the effect is audible regardless of the fader in the pre fader mode. Post fader mode regulates both the dry signal and the return level at the same time. see if you can find that option either on the board or the software. May not be the correct solution but it a place to start.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mark

I disabled the console shaper bleed and that got rid of the effects bleed.
Being not aware that this even existed?
I guess it came with the latest update.
It will definitely bleed tracks.

Thank You
