3:00 P.M. start

at the Coffee Gallery in Altadena California (2029 N. Lake Ave., just north of Pasadena)

$18 per ticket (to keep out the riffraff)

My buddy Bruce Lofgren has another project, this one featuring the music of J S Bach arranged for 3 guitars plus bass guitar. One of the guitar players ain't there anymore so I was brought in to cover that part on steel. Some of the stuff is too hard (too fast) for me to play on steel so I will play those on my Casio electrical keyboard instrument, for example BWV 1052, which is a really cool piece but really beyond my technical abilities on steel guitar. Still, a lot of it works well on steel I think, for example BWV 578, BWV 147, BWV 861, Mein gläubiges Herze from Cantata 68, etc.

with Dan Ferguson on guitar, and Randy Landas on bass

Note this is a matinee performance. If you show up in the evening you will miss us, and instead you will see & hear Gonzalo Bergara, whom I remember as a very fine Django impersonator, but the band has no steel guitar, which is a big drawback IMO.

I was planning to go, but am under the weather and my body is telling me to stay home and rest. Bummer.

Please tell Bruce and Dan I said hello.

Sorry you are sick Mike. You would have been part of a very select gathering.
