I was talking to Chris at The Amp House in Scottsboro Alabama this morning about a surgical steel amp. A few hours later he sent me an email that Dr Z is discontinuing the Surgical Steel amp due to lack of sales. They will still make a few with parts they have left. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

Sounds like an opportunity to pick up a great amp that will be collectors item in the future. _________________ Tom Dillon

They were too expensive. Why don't they change their marketing strategy to selling direct to the artist only. Basically, selling them to anyone at the dealer price. Dealers would bitch, but since it is either do it this way or no way, they are not going to be out anything. |

Dr.Z is primary in the shoulder guitar world.. he was kind of talked into designing a steel guitar amp with his twist on it. Great amp but not his primary focus. Lots of boutique tube amps available. This won't hurt his primary business I'd venture. _________________ Old Emmons D-10's & Wrap Resound 65, Standel amps!
