This is my cousin Jimmy C Newman. I have no clue who the steeler is because he never used much steel in his band. My dad, Rufus Thibodeaux, and Besyl Duhon (accordion) were in Jimmy's band before he left for Nashville. Rufus played fiddle for Jimmy until his death a couple years ago Jimmy died not very long after Rufus passed.

I don’t know the steel player but the fiddler in that clip looks a whole lot like Wade Landry from Abbieville, La.
Dale, I had no idea Rufus Thibodaux was your dad, wow. Wade and I worked together some during his off season from Branson in the early 90’s and Roy Thomas told me that
Your dad sort of took Wade under his tutelage. Very interesting. Billy

Pretty sure that is Terry Wendy. I saw Jimmy with Terry on a Super Pro and Wade Benson Landry (who is the fiddler in bot these videos) with Jimmy C a couple of times in the 1980’s. They were a cooking band with a “Cajun” drummer from Greenville, SC I believe. Laughing

That's it ..BILL.... TERRY WENDT .... I saw Jimmy twice in London.. One was the big Country Festival..Next was a smallish niteclub..He had another steel player..name escapes me but he played a twin "MARRS" ....he did the trick that Emmons did spinning the bar, so you can understand his Kalibre Smile
