One of my students asked me to share my Cleartune presets from my iPhone. It appears as though I cannot go in and look at them. Just for kicks, I created a new "test" tuning and saved it, and I cannot go into that new test one either, in fact, I can't even delete that test one I created. Am I missing somthing?

I don't know about Cleartune, but PitchLab Pro (free) lets you create custom sweeteners and see the offsets. It even has a few features I wish my StroboPlus had. Pitchlab uses a strob-like display, but also tells you the exact Hz of the note you're playing, and how many cents out of tune it is.

Steve, here's how you access the edit screen for the preset.

1) hit the "i" in the bottom right corner to get into the settings screen
2) click on "Temperament" to get a list of whatever temperaments are stored.
3) Drag left on the temperament you wish to edit and you'll see options to edit or delete.

I have to say, as great as the ClearTune app is, I find there is one app that is better for tuning. TonalEnergy (all called "TE Tuner") allows temperaments, tracks smoother, "hears" your notes for a longer duration and is just as accurate as Cleartune. Tune using the "analysis" screen.

James, can this app learn a temperament from audio input?

I'm not sure on that one. I don't think it has a calibration button for each string.
