How about a smokin' Buddy Cage steel break for today's tab contribution? "Hi, Hello, How Are You?" is off the New Riders of the Purple Sage's 1974 live album "Home, Home On The Road". I had forgotten how great Buddy's steel is on these live cuts. I think there's a fair number of us who grew up on the country rock of the 1970's and Buddy Cage's steel inspired a lot of us to pursue the instrument.
Hope this is close - the notes go by really fast - watch Buddy's right hand sometime if you can find old NRPS videos! There are several places on the neck I can find some of these licks but this seemed to make the most sense to me. As always, corrections, comments, and slicker ways to play things are welcome.
Here it is on youtube. The break starts at 1:08

Thanks for posting this one, Jeff! Nothing better than having a go at the great Buddy Cage's licks. His backing of singer John "Marmaduke" Dawson on this album is also a real eye opener. Shocked

Hey Jeff, Gary Arnold here: Would you check my post up above about L. Lynn's song. I just need the intro. Thanks, Gary
