Happen to be taking a week, visiting from Wisco, hiking the woods near Asheville, NC. Rainy day. Heading into town and looking for an emporium or two to haunt while girlfriend shops.

Suggestions?

Mark

I'm not surprised there was no answer to this. I go up to Asheville from time to time and I have never found anything there for steel guitar unfortunately. Let me know if you found something!

Surprisingly, I found a small interesting shop that had a late 1930s Gibson on sale for a reasonable price when I visited that fair city last year. Don't recall the name but it was on a slope heading West, not far from the 'hippie' precinct , I think. Friendly staff. A very nice spot.

Well, the road might have been heading east. Not sure because, quite frankly, in your country the sun is in the wrong place in the sky.

Plus toilets swirl the wrong direction, we drive on the wrong side of the road and the steering wheels are on the wrong side as well.

An observation from my Aussie friend whilst visiting!
