1961 Album Cover. Gibson SJ or ... ?

What about the 'BATMAN' pick guard?

Thanks in advance for any info.

What a beautiful guitar.
There's a guitar repair- tools shop in Germany who sells the plan for the exact measurements and even a mold for the bending of the sides. I will buy at least the plan, it's under 20 Euro's and then will try to make my own J-200.
Jack Hanson, if you read this, it may be of interest for you also.

All the on-line pix I can find of the 1959 Gibson J-200 have a single side pick guard.
I wonder if Johnny's was Factory-Custom or aftermarket.

I believe J-200 indicated Jumbo - $200 original list price.
That would mean my J-45 sold for $45 when first issued.
Can anyone confirm this?

Is that guitar confirmed to be a 1959 model?

Following 2 pix taken at the 23 Club in Brisbane CA in early 1958--site of the Jimmie Rivers and Vance Terry recordings.

Sunday April 6 was in 1958, not again on that date until 1969.

There were two of these made, custom-designed by Cash himself, as shown in a photo from the Johnny Cash Museum (scroll down a ways):
