Always liked Al's psg stuff... kind of Brumley-like sometimes. Here's a couple of my favorites that always make me smile.

"Atrium" from Pacific Steel Co. (Includes some tasty Bob Warford string-bending guitar)

"Crazy Arms" from Patty Loveless

I really like his playing on the Rolling Stones, "Torn and Frayed"...he moves in and out of the mix throughout the song but the solo starts around the 1:40 mark Winking

Al Perkins just flat-out drives this rocked-up version of this great song from beginning to end!

Great version of my favorite Burrito's song ever. I love they mixed Al way up front so you can hear what he's doing Winking

That one's so good it kills me. Seems like most projects that Al was in ended up with him mixed up pretty good, more than some. Great stuff...

Dennis, how do you like your MCI?

Al Perkins was one of the first players that woke me up to PSG, when he was with Manassas. Always been a fan.

Hey Mike, to be honest with you, not a lot Sad

I don't play it often as I spend 99% of my time on the Mullen. I bought it used a year ago and after a few days decided to order something brand new from the factory. There's some issues with the finish - the mica had been replaced a few years ago and wasn't done very well and there are some other issues underneath.

I wasn't looking for a project guitar when I bought it, but unfortunately that's what can happen when you buy off reverb.com with a no return policy. I'm currently undecided if I'm going to take it on as a fixup project and keep it as a backup, or just sell it as is Confused
