All this wonderful science aside...
Putting 2 similar amplifiers together will give you a noticeable increase in volume, and more low end. There is a coupling effect of adding more speakers, which gives you the perception of more bass.

That's pretty close to what Steve Howe used in concert in the early 70's (a pair of Dual Showmans through an array of 15" loaded full stacks). But he often played a hollow body guitar on stage where its potential for feedback would have prevented an outrageously loud volume (in addition to self-discipline and mild manners).

Incidentally, his flag ship choice for pedal steel is a Sho~Bud Pro II (built in 1974).
