so, I have two eharps. I've been looking or a different tuning for the second eharp. After much consideration, I've decided that I have no interest in a new tuning, so I've begun to think about using the same eharp tuning, but tuned down a 4th or a 5th.

I know Claude Brownell played it that way but he had a 30.5" scale steel. The eharp is 23 "

How will the sound be affected by using a significantly shorter scale length?

I find that my shorter scale Stringmaster sounds sweeter and fuller than my longer scale Stringmaster. Only difference is scale

Well, I just strung it up and.....

it sounded pretty terrible. I think the longer scale maybe the way to go. If i can find someone to build what I want.
