I'm having an extremely difficult time researching the song that Ralph plays in this video entitled "Little Cossette" here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8lB2650rik&t=229s

Every time I look it up all I get is results for the Les Miserables song. I would very much like to hear this original if anyone knows how I can get it. Thanks!

Also thanks to Andy Volk for putting this on Youtube!

Jeremey, I edited the original video but someone else put it up and mangled the song name. Coquette was a popular standard back in the day. Ralph's in E13th E. C#, G# on top.

Gotcha Andy! Thanks for clarifying. I never knew about this song. It's one of those songs that I'll never unhear now ha! Definitely a timeless classic, and apparently written by the brother of Guy Lombardo.

It's also a tune that's still played by Gypsy Jazzers because Django played it (and, I might add, played the heck out of it!)

That version really Swings Andy! Love me some Django! However this is the best steel version I can find. Any idea which steeler this would be?

*edit - Someone mentioned in the comment section "Herb Remington". Guess that's correct?

Also this is a fantastic version as well from the wonderful Noel Boggs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vUXjxpeqTk

There are a lot of steel guitar attempts at this great song:

Billy Bowman with Bob Wills
Herb Remington with Bob Wills
Herb Remington alone

Bobby Koefer
Freddie Tavares with T. Texas Tyler

Noel Boggs (twice)
Joaquin Murphey with Tex Williams

Bob Symons with The Nite Owls (this has a vocal by Luke Owens)

If you like Django, check versions by:

Bireli Lagrene
Hot Club De Norvege
Jimmy Rosenberg
Jimmy Rosenberg and Angelo Debarre
The Rosenberg Trio

Also memorable versions by Roy Lanham and The Whippoorwills, Teddy Wilson, Barney Bigard, Bud Freeman, Leo Watson and The Spirits Of Rhythm, Bob Crosby, Frankie Laine, and Johnnie Ray.
