Several years ago I traded this guitar for a matt black push/pull to leave at a club I had a house gig in. I didn't want to leave my gorgeous laquer p/p in the smoky place. I recently got re-aquianted with through my friend who needed me to check out a possible pick/up wiring problem. After a little work we made a deal and it is back home.

The last pics is my awesome '74 p/p and I am proud of both of them

Billy you will be well pleased with that, the Welded Frame MCI/EMCI's are awesome guitars :-}

Would like to see a few more close ups of that great lacquer PP too, looks pretty unique.

Paddy, I really like the EMCI. Very solid stays in tune, and according to some sources one of 7 of these made. I am going to put an E_66 pickup on it which came it. This originally Ron Elliots guitar maybe he has more info. The push/pull is awesome. A '74 model refurbished by A. J. Nelson formally of Sho-bud. Three years ago a total underside restoration by Mike Cass and plays great. Thanks for responding.

Hi Billy, Enjoyed seeing and hearing you play in Gulfport. I think the EMCI’s were made in Arlington but there seems to be a lot of stories and some with conflicting opinions.
All I know for certain is what I was told when Roy Thomas sold me the guitar.
He said that there were 7 Golden Eagle models made for some of the top players
At the time including the Big E. This particular guitar was
built for Ron Elliot. All
I really know for positive is it sounds and plays great and I am glad to have it back. Thanks

Winking

Mine was converted to a blue mica SD-10 sometime in it's life with an old style MCI logo.

I am no expert here but I have always understood that MCI was made in Arlington and the EMCI was made in Waco. Their are a lot of iffies, I think? Maybe someone in the know will jump in here. J.R.
