Saw this last night, posted by Leona Williams. I think it's Mo's wife singing the Leona penned song You Take Me for Granted. The steel player does an excellent job. Anybody know who he is? Maybe Ron Hogan?[/i]

As you guys know, we steel players get handsome when we get old and are harder to recognize. I saw Robbie Turner at some steel shows but that was back in the 80's, so without knowing him well and having not seen him in 40 years, I wouldn't know if this is him or not. I don't know if Mo has a steel player in his band or not, or if he even has a band.

I have heard that Mo's Dad is a steel picker but do not know if he works with him. Mike Johnson works with him on the Larry Black shows. J.R.

Maybe Dan Gaylsh if it's Mo's band. Dan is Mo's steel player.

George, or anyone else - do you have a link to this video?

I tried to find it on YouTube but I came up empty.

I got a half dozen hits confirming Roger Retig's post that it is Robbie Turner.

I don't know how to do a link. I just went to Leona's home page on Facebook and scrolled down to her posts. It was a live feed posted at 11:47 last night from the Station Inn in Nashville. Sorry, but this is all I can help.

That's where you threw me off George - you didn't bother to mention in your opening post that it was on Facebook.

Another good one with Robby Turner is Waylon singing Til I can gain control again with Robby Turner.
Waylon has it with someone else too.

Yep that's me. Thanks for the kind words. I love Mo. That's Val Storey sing "You Take Me For Granted". She is one the best singers there is. That's her band on Monday Nights at Station Inn. Doug Jernigan normally plays w/them, but I sub for him when he's out & this was one of those times.
